ORDINARY OF THE MASS

He takes the Precious Blood.
MAY the Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ preserve my soul to life everlasting. Amen.

Communion of the faithful.
Confiteor : I confess, p. 7.

Behold the Lamb of God, behold Him Who takes away the sins of the world : Lord, I am, p. 22.

May the Body of our Lord Jesus Christ preserve your soul unto life everlasting. Amen.
Now the priest purifies the chalice and gives thanks.

GRANT, O Lord, that what we have taken with our mouth we may receive with a pure mind : that
from a temporal gift it may become for us an eternal remedy.

Purifying his fingers, he adds :

MAY Thy Body, O Lord, which I have received, and Thy Blood which I have drunk, cleave to
my bowels : and grant that no stain of sin may remain in me, whom these pure and holy sacraments
have refreshed : Who livest and reignest world without end. Amen.

The priest goes to the right of the altar.

Communion and Postcommunion.

Returning to the middle of the altar, the priest invites the
faithful to give thanks with him.
