As he terminates these prayers, he breaks the Sacred Host into three
parts, one of which is
mingled with the Precious Blood.
MAY this mingling and
consecration of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ avail us that
receive it unto life everlasting. Amen.
Agnus Dei.
Priest and faithful strike their breast three times.
LAMB of God, Who takest
away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.

Prayers before Communion.
Bowing over the altar,
thee priest says :
LORD Jesus Christ, Who hast said to Thy apostles :
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you,
look not upon my sins, but upon the faith of Thy Church; and vouchsafe to grant
her peace and unity
according to Thy will. Who livest and reignest, God for ever and ever. Amen.
At High Mass thee
priest gives his ministers the kiss of peace.
The priest continues :

Father,
through the cooperation of the Holy Ghost, hast by Thy death given
