ORDINARY OF THE MASS

for us, suffered under Pontius Pilate, and was buried. And on the third day He rose again
according to the Scriptures. And ascended into heaven; He sitteth at the right hand of the
Father. And He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead; and of His
kingdom there shall be no end. And in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of life, Who
proceedeth from the Father and the Son. Who together with the Father and the Son is adored and
glorified; Who spoke by the Prophets. And One Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. I confess one
baptism for the remission of sins. And I await the resurrection of the dead . And the life of the
world to come. Amen.

2. THE OFFERTORY

The priest kisses the middle of the altar and invites the faithful
to offer together with him.

The priest takes the host on the paten, saying :

RECEIVE, O holy Father, almighty and eternal God, this spotless host which I, Thy
unworthy servant, offer unto Thee, my living and true God, for mine own countless sins, offences
and negligences, and for all here present; as also for all faithful Christians, living and dead
:that it may avail both me and them unto
salvation for life everlasting. Amen.
